Magdalena

My mother was born in Barranquilla Colombia in 1921. Her father was a paddle steam captain on the river used by the Spanish conquistadors to get to the Foothills of the Andes from the Caribbean Coast. She was named Magdalena after that river and by coincidence lived in Magdalena Street. The intro to this piece was one of the first things she taught me on the guitar in Havana, Cuba in 1957. This track is dedicated to her.
