The Sound of Blue

The sonority of Miles Davis has always had a great appeal to my ears and has influenced my sense of pitch and minimalism. This track was played on a tiple (a Colombian small 12 stringed instrument), which my Uncle Paco Manzanera bought me in Girardot, Colombia, a small town on the Magdalena River in 1963.
