Maestro Manzanera triumphs at LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA

A record-breaking 200,000 danced the night away at La Notte della Taranta,
curated this year by Maestro Manzanera. Phil, on 22 August, was joined
for the nearly 4 hour concert by a 20 strong pizzica band,singers and dancers, as well as international guests: Paul Simonon, Tony Allen, Anna Phoebe, Andrea
Echeverri, Raul Rodriguez and Italian superstar, Ligabue. The reaction of
both fans and media has been overwhelmingly positive, declaring that this
was the best La NOtte in the event’s 18 year history, and celebrating
Manzanera’s success in fusing traditional pizzica with Latin and rock
rhythms.
